I moved to btinterent about a month ago from Virgin. I cannot send outgoing emails. I have tried and searched for solutions and tried but no luck. I can receive but not send.
I have used mail.btinternet.com
IMAP is greyed out so cannot be changed. SSP enabled port 465
The error message is
Your IMAP server closed the connection. This can occur if you leave the connection idle for to long.
It also refers to port 993
Any ideas?
I have tried to ring BT and after giving up a couple of times my call was answered after 20 minutes and she was happy to inform me that she could offer no assistance. The online conversation was also no use, he was more clueless than me.
