Windows 7 and Versatility software

Upgraded desktop to Windows 7 Pro.  IT guys fitted a serial port via card in pc.  Versatility software downloaded, but when you hit "connect" it goes nowhere.  IT guys reinstalled half a dozen times - all of a sudden it worked - next time I tried it same problem.

Any ideas?

They may have kept on installing it wrong or there maybe a problem with the parts they are trying to install. Should can ask them to replace it with a new one.
