Wireless Hub Range

Heydon
Member

My office is at the rear of my home and p.c. runs well on an extension with Voyager router. If I want to use a laptop in the house (when office computer is not in use ) do I need an additional router, ( I still have the previous Bt Speedtouch router) or do I need a wireless hub. The wireless hub will obviously be more convenient for the laptop but the two computers will be approx. 100 feet apart.

Hi Heydon,

If you do not have a wireless router, you would have to have laptop connected to the router via cable.

However it would be a lot easier and simpler for you to have a wireless router and set up a wireless network this would mean you could use the PC cabled and the laptop wireless instead of both using a wired connection.

Hope this helps
