Yet another Static IP and port forwarding Question

snazy2000

Hey all,

In the hub manual it says you can set a static IP from the computers IP Settings, I have done this and i went to port orward the PC but it cannot be found on the network, apart from the other IP that is connected to the server,

I have 5 Static IP's

The server im trying to connect to works over lan but not wan becuase i cannot port orward it becuase the IP does not be found in the Port forward settings

i have DC1 in the settings but its got my local address 192.168.1.1

Any ideas how to get this to say the external IP. im running DHCP off a server and ive turnned the Hubs one off

Thanks in advance

Stephen

Hi there Stephen, Do you have many firewall rules set up at the moment? If not then clearing the device list would be the way to go. Then ping the static from the IP utilities section of the router and it should show correctly in the device list. Hopefully that will help you.

Have you input the Gateway static and subnet in the Broadbank Link section? That may explain it.
