Did you mean:

a simple / obvious question..

Sorry to all you pro's, but as a newbie can you tell me......

in the 'packages' description

=====

Product Attributes (e.g. size, colour) 20

=====

1. Does this mean 20, just Attributes - colour, dress size, shoe size etc

or

2. Attributes and the attribute Options combined - colour, size etc and red, green, small, medium, large etc

(in this example: (1) Just Attributes would be 3 options, and (2) Attribute + Attribute Options would be 7 options used)

Sorry for sounding a bit stupid.

Thanks

Russell

Hi Russel,

sorry for the late reply.

First of all we need to clarify the terms 'variation' and 'attributes':

As orchie already wrote, an attribute is the property of a product (shoe size, colour, fabric, etc).

A variation is the combination of values for these attributes, e.g. a red shoe in size 12. This means, the variation is the actual product a costumer buys.

In the BT eShop you have the possibility to define a total of 20 attributes for your products and create up to 400 variations for a product.

Good luck with your shop!

Kind regards,

The eShop Team

Hi Russell,

My understanding of this is there is a differance between "attributes" and "variations" e.g. an attribute would be colour, dress size, shoe size and a "variation" would be red, green, 10, 12 etc.

Does this help?

Hi orchie,

Yes kind of. I meant to put variations in the other post but forgot what it was called Man Wink

So  i guess my question should have been is there a limit on the attribute variations?

Thanks again
