business call redirection failure

Order reference code: 43045785596.

 

On the 10th December 2010 I placed the above order and paid for the service to play an automated message to incoming callers advising that my business telephone number had changed to 01424 858123. I was told this would take place on Monday 13th December, it did not. It finally took place late on Tuesday 14th December but is incorrect. The recorded message states "This number does not accept incoming calls". No mention of the new number and I have spent FORTY FIVE MINUTES on hold waiting to speak with your supposed After Sales Team, never receiving an answer. This is directly damaging my business reputation as customers are emailing my office asking if we are still in business!!! Loss of revenue may also be incurred and this situation must be rectified IMMEDIATELY. Please call me on the number above within the next 4 hours to confirm that this has been completed or I shall contact OFCOM to lodge a formal complaint and also my insurer to investigate options regarding recouping my costs for lost revenue.

Sorry to read about your issue, however if you speak to the BT Business telephony team on 0800 800 152 they would be able to assist you with this matter.

Thanks for the answer Tracey but I called that number several times and was repeatedly left on hold for in excess of 30 minutes - once for forty five minutes - without ever beign picked up. That's why I've chosen this route in an attempt to stop the loss of business I am currently suffering. If you know of a better number I'd be happy to try that?

It is now FIVE workign days since I paid to have an automated message on my previous business line to announce the new number to my customers and BT STILL have not got it right. My old number now just rings and rings and we have no way of knowing who's called or answering them. I am losing business on an hourly basis and despite speakign with EIGHT different BT operatives over the last 24 hours, faxing them, emailing them and posting here - still no sign of the service I paid for being implemented. Thsi is a shocking disgrace to BT and I am amazed that not one of the forum moderators here has bothered to bring this matter to the attention of someone who can do anything about it.

I do apologise for the delay in resolving your issue, however this is not something that the forum moderators can assist you with.

 

You would need to speak to the telephony team on 0800 800 152. They would be able to assist you with this.
