can you add a .js file to the site?

I want to add a ticker to my eShop site.  I have a JavaScript file that i need to add to the same folder as the index file or template file and then to run a HTML code to call the file.

How can I upload/ftp the file?

Easiest way is to go to the FTP link on the business portal.

log in to http://bt.com/business/login go to manage services > manage domain or free web space which opens in a seperate window.  The link for access ftp is at the top of the window.

Upload it to the public folder.

Not sure if all this is available via the website creator, maybe someone else can answer that.

Hi whoknows,

In order to upload files to your Website you may use the FTP access to your domain. There are 3 different methods you may access your site via FTp connection. They are:

1. FTP software: such as WS-FTP or FileZilla. If you do not own a FTP client, one may be downloaded at on of the following sites: Tucows or Download.

2. Internet browsers: such as Explorer or Netscap: [Syntax: ftp://aregato.com: password@209.235.144.9]

3. Command prompt: such as DOS or UNIX ftp 209.235.144.9

Below are the proper settings for the FTP login:

FTP Hostname/IP Address: 209.235.144.9

FTP Username: aregato.com

FTP Password: your WebsiteOS password.

Port: 21

Please keep in mind that anything you would like the public to be able to view must be inside the "public" folder to display properly.

Hope this is of help

Reading between the lines. it would appear that the Firefox browser doesn't/may not work - That may be the issue as i use Firefox. This is now curious....on my BT eShop page where i click on Admin Page to go to eShop it clearly says supported browsers IE and Firefox....but you are now telling me that for FTP Firefox is not support but only IE and Netscape...

No consistency....

Firefox is definately supported and you will see a recommendation to use it if you log in with any other browser.

Do people still use Netscape?

OK...have it working with Firefox...takes me straight to my folder list.  BUT....where are all the  ePages pages?

I needed to add the .js file in the same folder as the Index file....but Public and Private folders are empty....
