easy site wizard your kidding !

After spending 20 minutes on an 0845 number trying to get into my 'do it yourself easy web hosting account' which I opened 3 days ago I realise why I dont have ANY other services with BT !

Now for a drag and drop weasy web host this is pretty tricky, where shall I start ???

1) How do you upload a photo - I even tried using one of their 'library photos and I cant preview it (all I get is a red cross when the preview page loads. 

2) How do you change the size of text, when I highlight the text and then select (big mediam or small) nothing happens

If I select the box outright then the chance to change text size is shadowed (the programmes way of saying you cant use this function now. 

3) and as for the help button - why the heck would I want to try and navigate through the whole of BT's infrastructure.

Not looking forard to this programme thats for sure !

Mayve they should check out Homestead and get a few tips !

Any help would be great !

Hi,

I have just recently done my website on here and it did seem a bit daunting but a bit of patience pays off.

When you first start up easysite wizard a security box appears, click on "no". clicking on yes will stop any pictures uploading from your computer.

To change the size of your text go to the panel at the top of the page, there is a box with 3 "A"s, click on that and another panel opens. You can not only change size of text but colour and font type. I would suggest starting at size 1 and work up until you get the size you need. click apply and repeat until you have what you need.

Hope this helps, took me ages to realise these basics, specially the pics bit.

i have also built a website although its basic.

i found ESW pro fiddly at first but got used to it after half an hour or so.

make sure you save changes regularly and remember there is an undo button as when you try to delete/move stuff it can move stuff about that you dont want moved. other than that i found the pics uploading to be pretty straight forward. i found uploading photos to facebook harder!

to change font you have to highlight the text. having the mouse cursor in the text box doesnt work.

Thanks for that - got it now, looks like it likes you highlighting from the left corner and then drag down but not any other way
