ftp upload of files - then they go to zero

I have just uploaded a new website using ftp but something strange is happening.  My files upload fine, register as having a size, but then go to zero.  For example the configure.php file, plus some txt files too.  I have tried uploading using both filzilla and leapftp and the same thing happens.  Anyone got any ideas?

This is generally one of two things. Either you have used all the available space in your hosting package or there is a technical problem with the quota allowed for your hosting account. The only way to find out for sure is to contact support.

A problem with FTP is that you should have a stable connection due that your file might either be corrupted or deleted without any notifications.
