google verification error

I keep getting the following error when I try to index my site:

Meta tag

Verification failed. Your site's home page returns a status of 403 (Forbidden) instead of 200 (OK).

Why am I getting this status instead of 200?

You have my sympathy - sorry cant answer your question, but I am having massive problems with google verification, did you get anywhere, as google no help at all
