I am trying to find out how to purchase a freephone number that when dialled comes up with an incorrect number. Does that mean its available and how would I obtain such a number?
Have you tried going to a search engine and typing in 'Free Freephone Number'
Just a thought..........
yer tried that
There are many companies that can supply you with a Freephone number including mine www.birchills.net. You will find that there are a lot of those will give not charge you for the number but there will generally be some kind of a usage fee - because one way or another these things need to be paid for.
I don't understand the latter part of your question - the "when dialled it comes up with an incorect number". If you simply want a number which doesn't go anywhere then you can simply dream one up and try it. If it doesn't ring then it's incorrect. Maybe that solves it.

I think the thread starter means he has a freephone number in mind that he would like to use, and when he dials it, nothing happens, indicating that it is not currently in use, so in theory is available to buy.
thats my take on it anyway 🙂
