outlook 2003 ssl doesn't seem to be working

Hi,

Setting up some email addresses i have recently created with my domain. I have followed the steps for outlook 2003, but when i try and send an email/test the settings i get the following

Task 'outlook.office365.com (1) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7D) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured connections have worked in the past, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Any suggestions on how to resolve, much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi richwell,

Outlook 2003 is not longer a supported email program, Microsoft no longer support it either, it has been known to work if you have it updated to service pack 3, but this is no guarantee that it will work.

I would suggest getting a newer vewrsion of the program to use for your email, Microsoft have a free one call Windows Live mail, or you could purchase Outlook 2010 or 2013.
