redirecting calls from my old 'dead' number to my new number in my new house

Hi, can anyone advise me please:

I am soon moving house from one exchange area to another and so therefore cannot keep my number.

Is there some kind of way that a caller could phone my 'old' number but be redireted to my mobile or even to my new landline number?

Thanks

Hi Rich I belive there is a way to set the Old line as an Exchange only line then forward that to a new Number, I'm Unsure of Cost, if you contact BT Sales team they should be able to sort this out for you thanks plumly

Hello,

If your old number has been cancelled and switched off (no longer working) then you are unlikely to be able to get it back up and running again.

If it is still live you might want to consider porting it away from BT to a provider who specialises in number redirection.  TP Tele (www.tptele.com) offer the service you want for something like £10 per month and this includes ~1000 call minutes.  They can even send calls to mobiles and all sorts of clever things.

Best of luck.
