searching the address list from the ipad does not find any contacts in my office

When searching for a contact using a laptop/desktop pc you are given the option of checking in your contact list or the global address list. Mine is set to the contact list and all is fine when working on a PC. If you try and search for a contact via the ipad it finds none. It appears to be searching the global address list, which no-one at BT seems to know how to put your contacts into and as they do not "support" the ipad it is a tad frustrating. The only difference is internet explorer on the PC and safari on the ipad. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am spending £5.99 a month just to be able to see my contacts when I am abroad (at BT's suggestion) as I could not upload a global address list, which would be fine if I want to take a heavy laptop and all the paraphernalia that goes with it, when I have a lovely light, compact ipad which should be able to do the job just as well!!!

Unless you have our enhanced e-mail service, Business Email , you will need to manually enter your e-mail addresses in Outlook Web Access.  With the Business E-mail service, all of your date, contacts, appointments will synchronise with the Outlook Web Access service.

We have Business email and all our contacts are in Outlook Web Access, its when you search or try to look up a contact that it does not work. It looks up the GAL not the contact list. It works fine on a PC but there is an issue with the Ipad...not sure why though!!

Hi,

The iPad uses a version of Safari, and probably not the one that comes on Macs.

Chances are a fair amount of sites won't work completely on it.  Hell I use Chrome on a PC and it breaks many sites.  Bear in mind that 90% of the computer using community uses PCs, and the vast majority of them use either IE or Firefox at present.

Cheers.

Hi - did you ever resolve this problem as I have the same.  (I also find you can select from your contacts in myoffice/outlook when using Safari on a pc or iphone).  Any help appreciated.

Sorry, that should read "...CAN'T select ...)

I agree. Though I use almost all available browsers in case I encounter some issues with others.
