Hi All
I`m trying to setup my dell pc to use wake on lan with the 2701HGV-C router. I`ve setup the PC bios for WOL, network card to "wake on magic packet". I`ve also opened a port in the firewall section of the hub settings.
When I send a wake on lan magic packet to the modem , I can see in the router log mentioning "Session Matches User Pinhole, Packet Passed" for the port I have assigned. But when I try putting the PC into sleep mode I can not wake it using the magic packet.
I read on this pagehttp://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan/wake-on-lan-port-numbers.aspx about " set up your destination firewall/router to allow "Subnet Directed Broadcasts". This is something I cant find on this router. Could that be the problem?
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
