I have received a letter forwarded from our accountants . The letter is from BT chasing payment for a service i did not order. The odd thing was , it is in the address of our registered office which you can obtain from Companies House and is not our trading address. the registered address is our accountants thats how we know it a potential fraud. I tried calling twice and explain what seems to have happened but the call center don't seem to understand and gave me the phishing email address. I have found out by local sales office that this an invoice for a system generated automated service Digital voice. We do not use BT for our phone lines so have no clue how this has happened. Ive tried calling, emailing the phishing email address which im not sure will work as im going round in circles. my concern is the good name of our company will be affected by this unknown debt. Any ideas of what i can do .
