Find out which BT Business Hub you've got.
By default your hub is set to the older WEP standard. Most wireless adapters now support the more secure WPA and WPA2 standards. By following the steps below you can change your security settings between the 3. Please note, if the setting used is too high for your wireless adapter you'll need to connect to your hub via Ethernet, so we'd recommend being near your hub when changing the wireless settings.
- Open your internet browser and type in http://home or http://192.168.1.254, press Enter.
- Click on the Wireless icon - the Wireless Configuration screen will appear.
- In Wireless Security, select the Authentication Type required.
- Click Save.
- You may be asked to enter your password - if you haven't changed it, the default password is the same as the serial number on the side of your hub.
To change the wireless channel on your hub:
- Open your web browser, type http://home or 192.168.1.254 (for your Hub Manager) in the address bar.
- Press Enter.
- Select the Wireless icon.
- Under Network, change the Wireless Channel to an alternative between 1 and 11.
- Select Save. You may be asked to enter your password - if you haven't changed it, the default password is the same as the serial number on the side of your Hub.
- Wait one minute for your device to pick up the new channel.
- If you ’re still experiencing problems, follow the above steps again to choose an alternative wireless channel.
