Accessing the Hub Manager

 

  1. If you've access to a device, open your web browser and type http://home or http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar.
  2. Press Enter.
  3. When you submit or save any changes in your Hub Manager, you might be asked to enter your password – if you haven't changed it, the default password is the same as the serial number on the side of your hub.

Once you're in the Hub Manager you can change and set up a variety of settings including your Hub Manager admin password, Wireless security settings and internet access controls.

Set up a Hub Manager admin password

To protect your hub by stopping unauthorised people getting access to your settings, you can set up an admin password.

  1. On a PC or laptop connected to your hub, enter http://home or 192.168.1.254 This will take you to your hub homepage.
  2. Click Settings at the top of the page.
  3. Click Password.
  4. If you've already set a password, enter it. If not, enter the default password, which is the serial number on the side of the router.
  5. Set a new password.
  6. Click Save.

Finding, changing or resetting your admin password

For security reasons, your hub is set with a unique administration password. By default, it's your hub's serial number without the 'r' at the end. You can find your hub's serial number on the sticker on the bottom of your hub.

To change your Hub Manager’s default password:

  1. Open a browser and in the address bar, enter http://home or http://192.168.1.254 and press the Enter key.
  2. Click on Settings at the top of the page.
  3. Click on Password.
  4. Enter your current password.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set a new password.

If you've changed and forgotten your hub's password, you'll need to reset your hub.

 

Restoring your hub to its default settings removes any changes you've made to it. If you've already configured any options on the hub, you'll need to reconfigure them after the reset, including:

  • BT Business Broadband Voice.
  • Any wireless settings you may have changed.
  • If you've changed it, your Business Hub password Port forwarding.
  • Any other Hub Manager changes you may have made.

To reset your hub to its factory default settings, removing all personal settings:

  1. Use a pin or paperclip to press and hold the recessed Reset button on the back of your hub for 15 seconds until the hub lights go out.
  2. Release the Reset button and wait for the Broadband light to glow green. This may take several minutes.

Alternatively, you may reset your hub using your Hub Manager:

 

  1. Navigate to your BT Business Hub Manager.
  2. Open your web browser and enter http://home or http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar and press the Enter key.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Select the Diagnostics tab.
  5. Select the Resets link.
  6. In the Reset to Factory Default State field, click the Reset button.

You may be asked to enter your password. If you haven't changed it, your password is the same as the serial number on the bottom of your hub.
