BT Business Smart Hub 3 DHCP IPv6 settings allocation mode off / firmware updates

Installed hub 3 and set IPv6 settings allocation mode off. 5 subsequent firmware updates have caused hub to revert to default IPv6 settings allocation mode on.

The initial firmware displayed a greyed out backup settings option - the 5 subsequent firmware updates have no backup settings option.

The hub has to be powered off then on every few days to resolve network connectivity problems with wired attached computers.

The BT Business Smart Hub 3 was supplied with a new Hyperfast 2 Enhanced FTTP contract.

Previous FTTP contract was supplied with a BT Business Smart Hub 1 and in use for 4 years without issues.

Since initial installation version - 5 subsequent firmware updates in 5 weeks clearly shows there are significant issues with the hub 3.

Are there any online BT release notes / status for BT Business Smart Hub 3 firmware updates?

Why do firmware updates cause hub to revert to default IPv6 settings allocation mode on? There seems little point in allowing users to change settings then without notice they are undone by firmware updates.

When will backup settings option be available (as it has been in previous business hubs)?

Is the BT Business Smart Hub 3 a trial status product which some members / admins refer to or fully released stable product? see post below

If you've received one of the new Smart Hub 3s then you'll be part of the trial. Don't worry - you're protected by all the usual T&Cs, including the usual guarantees and speed promises.

If your settings are being reset with every firmware update, it might be worth our Team team investigating. If you want, please send me a private message with some account details.

 

The back-up settings option is in the pipeline but no current timeframe for this I can advise.

 

The BT Business Smart Hub 3 is a fully released and supported product, not just a trial now.
