Static IP setup- router?

dag

Evening,

I am setting up a group of 5 static IP's after BT "lost" ours during a broadband upgrade and assigned a new set !

Following these instructions
https://business.bt.com/help/article/configure-the-bt-business-hubs-and-assign-multiple-static-ip-ad...

and I log into our BT Business Hub and switch static IP's on, enter the subnet mask and it wants a router address - is this the hub, one of the static IP's or something BT should have given us. Sorry if it's obvious but the instructions just say "router address" with no more details.

Thanks in advance

David

Try setting the router's IP  one of the reserved, internal IP addresses.

You may also have to set the subnet mask.  This will depend on how many addresses the router should give out to your internal network.  You could just use 255.255.255.0

Thanks for the replies.  Turns out BT should have given us the information but the router address that is required "usually"  the next IP address after our 5 static ones.  With some help from BT support all working now !
