BT Phone Port to Network

I live in a new build house (about 4 months old) in the UK. Under the stairs is a phone port. Behind it are 3 cables coming out the wall, wired into this phone faceplate. I have another in the office, lounge and by the looks of it somewhere else in the house.

Can I get a new faceplate and rewire this to use as a normal network cable? Does anyone know what type of cable it is from the wires?

I would recommend speaking to a service provider to arrange an engineer to come out and resolve any needs you have relating to telecoms services in your new build.
