Dear BT,
you are utter, utter C*nts. Sorry, but you are.
On Monday, I got up to start work and found you'd cut off my Business Broadband that I need in order to run my business. After around 20 hours on the phone (Yes, TWENTY hours!) over Monday and Tuesday, I was told the only way you could reconnect me was for me to re-order. This I did, and after a further 5 hours on the phone on Wednesday, I managed to get the install date changed from 20th March (Yes, a month with no broadband that I was paying for was your proposed solution), I had an engineer come out today (Thursday). Engineer told me that the service was all configured incorrectly and that I needed to call customer options. After a further 4 hours on the phone today (Yes! FOUR hours) I was eventually told that the service MAY start working tomorrow (Friday) - Oh goodie, lucky me, only potentially 4 days loss of revenue for my business.
Only today, I get another letter saying that next week, you're going to cut me off as someone has decided it's best that you cut off my new service too. Oh and you're going to charge me £100's for the privilege as my new contract has only been running for a couple of days and cancelling it this early has penalties.
I even tried to terminate your crappy services myself on Monday, but alas you won't even let me move to another provider for 20 days will you? I hate you BT, you are ruining my business, and you have given me yet another week of stress that I don't need.
No wonder business is struggling in this country. Having to spend days that should be spent with customers dealing with getting a relatively straight forward service provision from BT will make any business go under.
I hate you BT. I really do.
Oh my god...
I'm afraid I can't offer any advice (I'm on here for advice too), but just extend my sympathies..
They charge you more for terminating the services early?! But how do we even know if their service is even right for our business unless we try them!?
I didn't even see my engineer so now I have no idea if my business lines are set up properly. My upload speed is less than 5 times what they said it would be when I ordered it.
They pretty much just sent a bundle, lied about some enginner visiting, and left me to a package that is NOTHING like what I needed.
My contract is 24 months long at £60 a month.
At this stage I am sure BT are con artists.
