As a new business customer who recently had a new BT line and Business Broadband installed, we are hgaving extreme difficulty in getting a response, either from email or from phone calls to BT. Being pushed from one dept to another!
we were allocated a BT number 0208 xxx 2000 and were told that 0208 xxx 2001 will be allocated to use as a VOIP for fax machine. On the dat of the installation, the BT engineer came and fitted the line and said that the broadband would be activated later that evening.
We called our IT support guy, who successfully setup the broadband, wireless and networking. However it was not possible to get the fax working on the 0208 xxx 2001 number and could not find anywhere on our BT login account details how to activate the services. We were advised by him to speak to BT for help.
The next day we contacted BT and they kindly offered the solution, but being IT-illiterate, we requested to please send us an email what they just told, we were promised this would be done. This was nearly a week ago.
Our IT SUpport also contacted the support and was given an automated reference number and still yet no one has contacted us.
We regret we made a mistake coming back to BT!!! Please can someone help
I have just telephoned customer service as I have a question about withheld numbers.
I started my call at 5:49 pm and the message was that "BT is very busy at the moment".....at 5:49 on a Thursday afternoon?
I held on for just over ten minutes and at 6:00pm sharp the message changed, to inform me that they close at 6pm and the call was dumped.
What a way to run a business. Do you know what? I really don't care anymore about my question, as I cannot afford the time to call again tomorrow. BT may think that is a result, in that they did not have to deploy sufficient staff to deal with my possibly frivolous query, but if I you hadn't already read this far, I am sure you could still guess how it leaves me feeling.
Hi Btbod
Can you please send me your contact name and number via private message and ill call you in relation to your query?
Regards
Sean
Sorry to hear that bud. There are times when call volumes are really overwhelming and I would understand on why they got busy. I hope you'll get your problems resolved.
You know, that is very interesting - I also ordered hosted VOIP and got std VOIP. My order was through BT Local Business too...... (worth investigating order process BT?). Set up all the phones etc, then when I was told it was std VOIP when I by chance rang to check something I then had to get new phones sent with new numbers, package all the old ones up and send them back to BT (by going and queuing up at the post office (no courier collection) thinking why on earth am I doing this - this isn't my problem!, redo all the setup etc, got final demands for the std VOIP bills, had to get them cancelled, ages on phone to BT billing. It just all takes hours and hours of my time. I also found it a nightmare to get through to them until I happened to find the direct landline number for the guys in Scotland who are great and you dont have to go through the 75 automated menus (0114 202 1122). SC who posts here has also been brilliant in resolving a small but annoying issue.
