You could install something like phpBB on the BT webspace. You will need the Advanced Hosting to do this as it needs MySQL. It is fairly easy to set up but you will need some basic skills like FTP the ability to use FTP.
It only takes 5 minutes to install really, and takes far longer to tweak all the various settings in the software.
If you want to add modifications to it, then you will need to know a bit more like editing PHP files, manipulating the database, etc but this is not necessary if the plain installation works ok for you.
There is something quite satisfying about being a forum administrator 🙂
