Applying a routable static IP address behind BT Business Hub 3

Upgraded to the Business Hub 3 and got 5 static IP addresses with it. The idea was to assign the static IP addresses to a firewall behind the hub as we use an external service that relies on seeing the same source IP address to validate us as users.

Ok i set the private IP address of the hub to the first address in the static ip address range, and then after reading info on here set up DHCP for the other 4 addresses so that the firewall can be allocated one of them statically.

the external ip address of the hub has to be dhcp i assume as how can I have IP addresses from the same subnet on both private and public interfaces. They need to be different subnets.

I can get on the internet ok via the firewall, but the ip address seen by external hosts is the dynamic ip address on the public interface of the hub, not the static ip address of the firewall. each time the hub reboots it gets a different IP address and this seen by the external service which blocks the traffic. it is as if the hub NAT's the traffic and hides the ip addresses ofn the firewall. i turned off the firewall on the hub but made no difference.

Perhaps it is not siupposed to work but i have tried everything  - so far???

tks
