Problems for months with terrible connection & after a new hub and several phone calls to bt broadband help we are thinking it may be easier to just change provider.
When we phone bt we go through the same repetition of checking the computer settings and changing the channel etc and they say that it's all perfect - I've got past the point of even thinking about beleiving this!!
Connection rarely gets above 11Mbps, constantly drops and occasionally doesn't even connect. Restarting hub constantly.
Have told the very unhelpful technical help staff that we think it needs re-routed through the exchange but they asked what an exchange was :S !!!
I have heard sky broadband is good....

I am really sorry to read about the problems you are experiencing with your Broadband account. Looking at the information you used to sign up to the forum with, it looks like you are a residential customer. If this is the case it may be better to contact the Consumer Forum or help site.
If you are a BT Business Broadband customer, please private mail me your details so I can look over the Technical case.

You get about the same speed as myself.
And Other providers can offer a faster connection. I would check out O2 they have quoted my line at around Six megabite, When I get 1.3 mb! That is pretty amazing. I gave O2 a rang and the confirmed I can get 6 mb straight away. When this contracts up.I'm going to be running from BT.....
