Hi,
We moved to a new office and now we have a new BT infinity connection and new BT business hub 5 at the moment. We tried to use the our Cisco ASA 5505 and it is not detecting the internet connection via ppoe. I have the Business hub 5 working in bridging mode at the moment. ASA is connected to one of the LAN ports on the business hub. Do i need to use any specific LAN port in business hub 5 when using in the bridging mode ?
I had the infinity and ASA working properly in my old office. I didn't have a business hub 5 and I had was a openreach modem and the Cisco ASA was connecting to the LAN port on the modem. Is anyone having this issue with new business hub 5 and new infinity connections ?
If anyone has a solution please do let me know.
Many thanks
I have the same problem with BT Hub Business Hub 5 and Zyxel NBG4606 or EDIMAX BR-6574n.
Maybe someone help us?

EDIT:
dassa, do you use a Openreach modem [white device]?
When I remove the Openreach modem from my network the BRIDGING work fine with Zyxel and Edimax routers.
Maybe you need remove the Openreach modem from your network?
Sorry for my English.
Hi there,
Check the firmware version, if the last 3 digits are less than 200 bridging won't work. It's in the troubleshooting menu then click helpdesk.
Any port will do.
Make sure you're set to use LLC/SNAP VPI 0 VCI 35 and try user name test@btbroadband.com to eliminate account issues.
Don't assign a static to the wan.
THanks
Hi all,
spank is correct, in that there is an issue with the Hub 5 and bridge mode with certain firmware. If you can check what firmware the Hub 5 is using, it should be using firmware ending in .200 for bridge mode to work properly, if you are in doubt you can contact the helpdesk for further support with putting the Hub 5 in to bridge mode.
