I was made aware last night that BT have swapped my number with another unsuspecting customer. This came to light late yesterday evening, we reported the fault to BT, they checked the line and said all ok. It is far from OK as I am receiving someone elses calls and they mine.
I have spoken to the other customer, equally as disatisfied and unsurfe of how she will communicate with her family over the easter break.
I assume that we will pay each others bills whilst BT sort themselves out.
Having spent considerable time on the phone to India it transpires that swapping them back again cannot take place until 8th April.
Why am I being inconvenienced, I just dont get why you don't send the engineed back to the exchange and put it back as it was.
Someone please help unravle this.
