Posting in forums to get an answer ...shows how desperate i am.
Firstly i think this looks like a top product and would love to be able to speak with someone at BT who knows about this.
I have spoken with several people who quite honestly advised me that they knew nothing about the product but could pass me on to some obne else that could assist me. I ended up at a call center in Sheffield wher a guy called Inder advised me to go and buy the siftware from Dabs .com.....way to go for a sale !!
Anyway moan over, I have done the trial and have no issues with the product.I need to know how i get my exisiting landline 0845 fax number converted across to the BT PC Fax number.
Along with this i need to understand if i can now cancel my exisiting line rental and can i get this product added to my regular invoicing
If it helps we are a small business.
who do need i need to contact on this?
Advice please as i only ant to spend soem money with BT.
Hi,
Just found this Help & support FAQ about keeping existing fax numbers.
Also, spoke to the relevant team who told me that unfortunately regular billing is not integrated at the moment.
Hope this helps,
James
James many thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately it only tells me that it is possible it does not tell me how i can do it?
Who do i phone that knows the prodcut and will be able to help me with the transfer?
Hi, PC Fax is a market trial, so at the moment it isn't supported by traditional BT support channels.
Support is available online only, via: pcfax@btpcfax.co.uk
Cheers
When things got complicated with having several phone lines (one for fax, another for the phone) I opted for an internet fax service where I don't need an extra phone line to be able to send or receive a fax. I subscribed to this service <Link removed by Mod>
and it is working fine. No more issues with faxing while maintaining a landline phone.
Hope this helps.
