I have recently attached a BT Broadband module to my versatility with the aim of putting VOIP calls directly into our existing phone system.
I'm not using Bt for VOIP, so I need to set it up for my provider.
They've given me some information such as their server address etc, but I haven't found anywhere yet to put in my username & password.
Has anyone else set up their system this way? I'd really like to know what settings to use.
It's worth noting that I've only got the module connected to my router via a lan port. It didn't like being connected by eth/dmz - I'm not sure why.
Im guessing they have provided you with SIP server details and such like, they will have to be entered into the router, if you are using the BT router (the 2wire 2700HGV) you wont be able to enter the details in
It is locked out to only accept BT details and you cant even access a page where they are stored to change them
The Broadband modules are preconfigured to operate with the BT Broadband Voice service. However, this service is not obligatory. The Broadband modules may be configured to operate via other ISP's broadband services and other VoIP services.
After entering the Broadband module > Setup > VoIP screen, the relevant VoIP settings may be viewed and modified by selecting "Change Advanced VoIP settings here". All of the necessary settings are visible for modules with the latest firmware (v189). However, some fields are hidden with earlier firmware versions. A username and password should be entered in a separate section by selecting "Change VoIP Endpoint authentication here".
For further information, it would be helpful if you are able to refer to the Broadband module manual. The manual may be obtained in pdf format.
Let me know if you require assistance.
Hello.
I'm trying to locate firmware version 189 for my versatility broadband module.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?
I have a full version of the engineers software with remote PSTN/ISDN access, hotel and V-Phone enable etc.
All I need is the firmware - I'm also trying to locate version 915 of the versatility firmware too ?
Any help would be much appreciated.
