I signed up for BT Web Hosting at the special offer rate of £2.99 per month for the first twelve months (normal price : £5.00 per month).
I've just got my first bill, at the full price of £5.00 per month, with no allowance for the special offer.
When I rang up to query this, I was told that there never had been a special offer !!
I asked to speak to a manager, but was told that none was available - one would ring me in due course (they didn't). I sent a fax setting all this out in detail - but received no reply.
How on earth to I get the attention of these people ?

Tony; see here ; suggest you save the page; google search term bt web hosting and BT are paying Google for this to be top of page
Thanks ! I've printed that out, and I'll add it to the dossier.
But the problem is that I can't get BT even to LISTEN to my complaint, let alone give a satisfactory response to it. Whether I contact them by phone, fax, or email, the result is always the same - deafening silence.
If they are attempting to alienate me as a customer, they are certainly succeeding ! To contact the regulator about this issue seems like overkill - but I may be driven to doing just that.

Hi,
Could be a mistake, but to be honest if you're getting rubbered when trying to get it fixed then that's not acceptable.
I would advise contacting Customer Options on 0800 800 152, as they deal with mis-sales and such like.
Hope this helps.

At last we've had a call from BT, backing down, and promising that we'll get the discount on future bills.
This is very welcome - but of course we'll have to check that the discount does in fact arrive.
Thanks for your help on this, people. THIS FORUM WORKS !!
Best,

Tony,
hope it all works out OK for you.
If, on the off chance it doesn't, then send me a message and I will pass on the email addresses of BT staff at Executive level. I got a very quick response from the CEO's office re my issues with poor BT support and they are taking an interest in how resolution is progressing (no progress at this time!)
Hi,
You should probably read the T+C's thoroughly before you sign up to any offers in future. The £5 a month charge was correct for the way this offer worked.
