BT please do something useful

Hi

 

We've opened a new mobile phone accessory shop and we've been with BT from day 1.

This store has now been open nearly 5 months, so we've been paying for BT for all that time.

We've had internet connection for about 1 week out of all that time. I'm currently using a 3 dongle which is pay as you go and I have to keep topping it up. I'm a new store manager and the stress this is causing me is unbelievable, our entire sales system has to run off the internet, putting 1 sale through is taking nearly 10mins and adding a delivery to the system can take up to 3 hours. If my normal bt connection was up and running this would take only 10mins. We're paying line rental, we're paying pay as you go internet broadband because we can't connect through bt. This is costing my store money in more ways then one.

Me and our IT department are fuming! we've been led round and round in circles. I've had 5 modems delivered! yes 5! The 2701 models all have red lights. The 2700 model lights up all green but I can't even get google to work. I've been on the phone more times I can count. I've been through so many configuration processes it's a joke. This store only has 1 member of staff in it at one time so an hour and a half phonecalls to BT constantly is costing me sales as well as all the other problems bt is causing. We are a big company with over 40 stores across the country, I really can't express how annoyed we are.

 

I was on the phone again today after my 5th modem arrived and I was told if this one doesn't connect that BT would send an engineer out to make sure that the next one works. I was told "sorry sir we can't send an engineer as it's a faulty modem, we're going to have to send you another one." ok send out number 6! what's the point? it's obviously going to have the same problem as the other 5!

 

Basically BT we've been getting messed about for 5 months, we've been paying you for 5 months. We've had no internet for 5 months, you've been leading round and round in circles for 5 months. I don't want a 6th modem, I want an engineer and our problem fixed or I want 5 months of line rental refunded.

 

Please reply as soon as possible.

mobile phone man, i understand your pain,. just like you we set up our taxi firm which was solely on date, we started with 20 cars the next day we had only 2, cuz BT broadband was playing havoc with the pda, and going off every few minutes.  I spend more or less every day on phone to BT, since april and still my issues have not been resolved.  I've got to divert all my calls to mobile because the phone feels like a fax line 24/7.

 

BT is a joke.
