Just looking some confirmation from other sources.
Attempting to use a Netgear Prosafe FVS336G as a VPN gateway with a statically assigned WAN address and get a VPN passthrough from the Business Hub 3.
Have open all the related ports for IPSEC VPN on the Business Hub 3 and assigned them to a static IP address out of the block that I have from BT.
They dont work, as in the ports are not open, I have checked with multiple external sources and port checkers.
I have been able to get a port opened through the hub for remote desktop access just to prove that something gets through the firewall so im more sure that the hub does work at some level anyways.
My suspicion is that the Hub 3 just does not allow VPN ports 50, 51, 500, 4500, 1723 or 1701 to be opened...
If I didnt already have users assigned to email and web services on other static IP addresses on the Hub 3 i would just replace it.
Would not be the first time that a BT hub did not do as the specs suggested.
Anyone else have similar issues or now how to get the Hub 3 to allow VPN passthrough that would be most helpful.

Hi Flaggers,
The business hub3 does allow VPN passthrough. for IPSEC we have a prebuilt rule in the hub3's port forwarding rules, it is called IPSEC IKE, have you assigend this to the IP of the VPN device?
Also have you disbaled the BT WiFi hotspot signal, as this uses port 500 sp will need turned off, any issues contact the helpdesk and they can screen share with you to check the hub3's setings.

Thanks for that I got the ports forwarding correctly now.
My issue is now on the other end, my client computers in another office are able to connect to my VPN tunnel, but are not able to ping anything on the VPN LAN, are there any Business Hub 3.0 settings for the firewall to allow incoming IPSEC?
Hi,
The hub 3 only does pass through for VPN's once the port forwarding is setup, there are no other firewalls you need to configure.
