Static IP Address' Bundle - Waiting over 3 Weeks!!!!

Hi,

 

I am struggling to get hold of IP address' from BT. I Have a BT Business Infinity broadband line, and require 5 static IP address to make my Cisco Call Manager System to work (cube). However something seems to be up.

 

This has had 4 different order numbers none of which have progressed, got bridge/fix escalation numbers and nothing. Have even raised it to the Chairman & CEO Business Complaints Admin department, each time promised a 48 hour response and get nothing.... have had excuses that there is a bug in the system, the team in india is flooded, problem at exchange, just an error in processing, no issues & wil be done asap, etc etc, etc etc.

 

If anyone has had any experience similiar to this, please let me know - as i would really like to have this progressed forward. I was planning on using a SIP service for cheap calls with voicemail integration with my emails, state of the art phones, and now seem to be stuck with expensive calls over BT using a home handset!!!

 

Urgently require some help!!!

I have just had my BT Business Broadband installed today and waiting on my static IP.

 

I have domains and email running for my company  and this is really irritating to not have a static IP. It's even worse with BT as EVERY time the router restarts a new address is given. I was with SKY and atleast that had a lease time so it  would only change every few months.

 

Have already been trying to contact them asking when it will be live and get flobbed off with random answers and no REAL answer. I received my email saying it's already to go and my static IP is ready but no..... of course not. Another restart to try it and have to switch domains to yet another IP to try and keep my company going.

 

Really appauled at how this is suppose to be BUSINESS broadband but you also get a really bad "home" hub router which is not fit for ANY business. Plus the whole matter that they don't seem to care and just treat customer like home users.

 

Only had this installed for a day and starting to really regret it.

I had an issue with a single staic IP not being added to my order, I used the online chat, and it was assigned while I waiited, took about 5 minutes, rebooted my Zyxel modem, and it picked up the static IP immediatley. Might be woth a try.
