Cannot open connection server from Sony Experia Android phone

I've followed the Burkem5 post giving clear instructions on how to set up Android Email but get the message "Could not finish. Could not open conection to server". The security setting I have set is SSL/TLS (Accept all Certificates). SSL on its own is not available on the Sony. 

Please can you help?

I have the same problem. I can get a Gmail account to work fine but it won't accept Bt Mail. I went into a Vodaphone shop but they said it had to be reset through my PC. I don't think this is correct as I don't see any way to do this on the PC.
