Capped 24/7

Hi

Joined bt a month ago and getting screwed over already.

I rung bt and ordered bt business total broadband "UNLIMITED" but when i got the letters from bt i find out that the women who i spoke to has put it on 50gb a month and not unlimited. so i spoke to her again and she asked me to get in contact when the line was connected and she would change it to unlimited.

So once the line was connected i emailed her so she would change it over, she emailed back asking what our broadband number was. So i emailed back asking if she meant phone number and added the phone number. After that i didnt recieve a email back so assumed that it was going to be changed over.

3 weeks later speeds had dropped from 6.5mb dl and 450kb upload to 1.2mb dl and 50kb dl, so checked my bt email and see ive got 4 or 5 overusage emails saying ive gone over the limit

So i ring bt again and speak to a different person, tell them whats happened and he says she shouldnt have done that and he would change it to unlimited, giving me a date for the switch over.

9 days later and im still capped? why should i suffer for bt's mistake and why am i being capped 24/7?

Update- recieved a email today and bt say its been switched over but still being capped.

In the email it says i might need to reset the router, can i reset it from the hub manager or will that delete my settings?

ive tried turning the router off and waiting 2 mins but still capped

Update 2- spoke to them again and he made me do a speedtest and then said that cause we had been changed over recently, the speeds would get better over the next week. when i know the change over is not what is affecting my speed because the speeds had dropped ever since we got the over usage emails, what a coincidence!!! now because of the change over ive got to wait 10 days before he can put a error report in.

sick of it already, wish i had stayed with virgin media. can anyone tell me if its safe to reset the router from the hub manager or will that delete my settings

Thanks

Hi,

If you do a factory reset via hub manager the router will loose its settings, it is best to disconnect the power cable from the BT router to reboot it. I have also sent you a PM if you could reply to this we can get someone to look at your line speed.
