I'm changing from BT Buisiness Broadband to BeThere due to absolutely abysmal ping and packet loss. I was getting 19.5Mbit down and 1.1Mbit up it was very stable now it's dropped down to this. I was also mis-sold the product as I was told I could get Annex M once I got the service I was told BT don't do it.
I've spoken to several BT tech support people and they've told me I have to wait 10 days... then another 7 days ontop of that plus any extra time for engineer appointments yeh... no I'm done I have a buisiness to run I can't afford to not have a stable internet service. Will be calling BT in 30 mins to get my MAC code
If the fault that you have that is causing the poor speeds is on your line, then moving to BeThere will not help you. Yes, BeThere have their own equipment in the Exchange but it is still BT wires from the Exchange to your address and it could be anywhere along that set of wires that has the fault.
My advice to you would be to get the fault sorted with BT first, and then move. BeThere won't be quite so quick off the mark to get BT Openreach out to you if it's a wires fault.
