Hi

Were a small B & B and I would like to extend my WiFi coverage to a studio at the bottom of the garden.

I've got two BTHomeHubs. Can I piggy back the signal from one to another via an ethernet cable.Would it be easy to set up ??

Thanks

Hi

I do not believe this is possible with the HomeHubs. It may be better to check with the residential help team or try posting a question in their forum.

Kind Regards

Hey Bilko,

After googleing around and looking at the varients of BT Hub i dont beleive using anotehr BT hub as a repeater would work as the functionality is missing, i would advise visiting your local IT Store and look at purchasing a repeater, also depending on the distance you could use home plugs to keep the wiring of ethernet to a minimum

Thanks for the info Matt - I'm gonna try a Belkin Range Extender and see what sort of signal I get with that.

Cheers

Two homehubs work fine together - though you will only be able to connect to the wifi for internet - you cannot use them as a phone range extender (the VOIP phone is DECT and doesn't work off of wifi, for your information).

You will have to connect them together with a CAT5e / Standard network cable - you cannot really bridge them together wirelessly and have one repeat the other..

otherwise go for the hawking range extender
