Correct setup thoughts.

Hi all,

Wondering if options could be cast over the following,

We have infinity enabled standard setup at the mo, Huawei modem and HH3 but our offices are 3 miles away from this. we are just about to complete a fairly decent PTP link and I'm wondering the right way to link the hardware up.

My initial thoughts is to have just the Huawei modem straight into our PTP link (connection would be just be via the POE injector for the antenna) and then at the office end a router . (Probably not the HH3, suggestions welcomed).

Interested to know if anyone would think a router would be required at both ends or not?

Would like to get the setup correct without unnecessary hops.

Many thanks

All of your logon credentials and the DHCP server are held within the Hub so that will need to be connected to the Huawei modem.

The Hub is acting as your local router and switch so everything will be going through there anyway - so connecting your link to the hub will not add any additional local nodes or latency.

Right. Since your hub acts like a local router, it also works as a normal one. So you don't have to do special set up to have it running.
