Hello
I was wondering how I about using my own HTML code for a website template?
As there are not any templates that I wish to use for my website, which is a marine fish information site, there are no "fishy" related templates.
Many thanks, Vicky

Thats ok Celegance glad you got sorted.
Thanks for your responses, think I am going to stick to the templates for now 🙂
With all due respect, I don't think you are going to be able to learn HTML or web design from a forum post.
I would suggest purchasing a book on the subject if you are serious about learning it.
editing html for the template for the easy site wizard will probably give some odd results. i messed mine up trying to edit the menu and it went stir fry crazy.
it is possible to make a hmtl page, upload it to the public folder and create a button that points to that page but once again if you mess it up then you could get confused.
and even if you want to use html to modify a template you still need a knowledge on html.
id probably suggest using a blank template in the ESW and modifying till its the way you want since you can upload pictures of your choice. you can save that as the "master page" so all other pages will copy that layout as a template!
There is no obligation to use the BT templates. You may use any web authoring application you want and upload via FTP. Some of the server side programming languages like ASP, Coldfusion, etc are not available on all packages but you can't really go wrong if you are only using HTML and Flash.
With regards to your choice of domain name, you should be able to use any domain you have on your account for your primary domain. If you have not yet activated the hosting, you should contact BT support about this.
sorry xVickYx to muscle on your tread 🙂
Dave thank you very much for answering my questions it was very helpful and as you suggested BT messed something up with my domain name but the customer support was excellent and hopefully it will get all sorted soon.
