Distribution Lists

Hi there

I am trying to set up an email distribution list in alphabetical order (ideally by the first letter of the email address) but whenever I send the list out, the email addresses appear in a random order.

I have tried various options, trying to list by display name etc and I just cannot work out how Outlook sorts the addresses.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Are the addresses stored under people's names? Outlook automatically buts the name into the distribution list.
