Domain FTP access

I have recently purchased a domain name from BT (£2.90 per year option). The domain is registered etc put I am unable to access it to place my web pages into it. When I go to the site I get the following message in IE The website declined to show this web page HTTP 403 Most likely causes: This website requires you to log in. The help guides etc don't explain anything (as far as I can see) on how to use domains. Can anyone please point me in the right direction.
