Thanks for the finding out the problem.

I havan't looked at the site through Joomla for a few months and only viewed it on the web, so I am at a loss as to how the site has been hacked into. I am the only person with access to it.

When you say look for .htaccess files in the webspace and delete them where would I find these is through my access to my site through Joomla.

The BT webdesigner linked me with Joomla in April 2009 is there an updated version you suggest.

Your input is very welcome which I thank you for.

Hi Reg,

It could be a number of things. Can you maybe post the address of your site and we can possibly advise further.

Basically, it would seem your site has been hacked.

The 404 is not coming from BT and is instead coming from musikkorps.com which is a known malware site. However, it's probably a good thing that it is showing a 404 rather than infecting people's PCs.

Were you using Joomla or something similar? As it seems to be a fairly common hack according to http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2246618 and some other stuff that Google threw up.

The fix seems to be look for .htaccess files in the webspace and delete them. I would also make sure you have the most up to date version of Joomla or whatever you are running.
