Anybody know how to set up Google Analytics goals properly?
I have added the code to the header and the tracking is working okay. However I can't see what URL I would enter for the basket/checkout page to register purchases. The URL for these seems to be unique to each visit.
According to the eShop help pages there is a 'Google Analytics' option in the 'Marketing' menu. Not in mine there isn't! I assume this is one of the options which BT charge extra for?

I am currently waiting on definitive information about this, graemewilliams, I'll post it as soon as I have it.
I am informed that there is to be a major upgrade to the eShop product in May, this will include Google Analytics.
That's excellent news, JohnE. Thank you very much for the information.
Thanks for that, graemewilliams. It's worth noting that we can expect other improvements as well as google Analytics. I'll post if I can find out more.
Hi,
Has anyone managed to get this working? General Google Analytics stats work fine but the Goals/Funnels have always been an issue. Going by the ePages.com blog I was expecting this release to resolve this by using the links provided in the Marketing > Google Analytics section but after setting this up I am still not tracking this activity. I have used the links provided and configured the Goals/Funnels as instructed by Google but still no results.
Any help appreciated! :0)
Thanks
Ps. If you have an iPhone I really do recommend you have a look at this app for monitoring your Google Analytics stats. I use this on a daily basis for quick reference and have to say it's very good. The App is called AnalyticsPro (by blackburn apps). By the way, I have nothing to do with the developer of this software so not for my benefit, just sharing a useful tool.
Hi,
Have you used something like;
/Shops/BT****/Basket/BasketAddress/Offer/Order
as the Goal URL?
The 'Match Type' also needs to be changed to 'Regular Expression Match'
It seems to be working okay on mine.
Since the recent software upgrade in May, Google Analytics is now working on my site for Ecommerce and Goals. If you're interested I've posted some details on how to set it up on my blog:

Thanks for the responses, finally got this working. Turned out to be that I had left the Google code in the Advanced > header section and needed to remove it. Works fine now.
Thanks
