When I type the name of my company into google it comes up with the website address and a little bit of the blurb from the site(as it does on all google searches). The only problem is when you press the link, it takes you to another page on the site and not the home page as I'd like. Is there any way I can change this?

There are several actually but it depends on the specific problem. If it goes to a page that you simply don't use you can redirect it via an htaccess file to the index page. If it is a page you use however you may need to contact google either directly or through one of their webmaster tools to get the correct page promoted to appear first. More often than not this will be your index.html page.
