HELP i am in a real mess

Please help me.  I have put my website into filezilla off my usb stick. i have now uploaded the files but i cannot see the website all i am getting is an error message 550 no such file or directory. I dont know what i have or havent done please someone help

 Please ensure that you have uploaded your files into the Public folder and that you have an index (home page). What is the domain name?

Yes i have put it in the public folder. The site is gcstamps.co.uk. I think i am on a major senior day 2day !!!!!!

Whois search shows domain is with 123 Reg. Are you using smart hosting whereby you have a domain with one company and it is pointing to the hosting which is provided with another company?

Ye thats right. The problem i have is that i cant see our website in our web space but when i view it off my stick in browser it is all there!!!! Do you know what i have done wrong or what i havent done????

You will be able to view the site in your browser using your stick because you are opening up an html page from there. However, at present the site pages are not showing on the server. There could be various reasons for this.

If it is smart hosted, you will need to have the domain pointed to the BT servers which presumably bear a hosting package. The address is 209.235.144.9.

I would call BT technical on 0845 6007020 and they will be able to assist you further.
