After recieving a letter from BT saying sorry your leaving us...if this is incorrect please contact us etc. We had not requested it so contacted them, person who answered said not to worry the request would be cancelled. 9 days later my internent stopped and my landline ceased to exist. The cancellation of my BT account happened against my wishes.
I spent a day and a half on the phone trying to sort it, passed from one person to another, being cut off, repeating the same thing over again that it had been cancelled against my instructions, complaints dept logged the complaint to improve customer care but failed to help me. Eventually I had to rejoin BT as a new customer and wait 11 working days for the line to be connected and I would not be able to have my original number ( a number I have had for 20 years)
I want to send an email to someone further up the chain as the customer service I have received has been appallng. Why can I not find an email address anywhere on the website?
Hi leannepe9
Really sorry you've been having problems and I can understand your frustration. I'm not sure from your post whether you have a business phone line or you're posting about your home phone line.
So, if you're a Business customer here's a link relevant to your complaint in our BT Business contact us pages. There's also further information about how to make a complaint about BT Business in our help articles.
If you're posting about your home phone line, then you'll need to use the BT Community forum. I've also found this help article on how to complain to BT, which could help you find the right information.
Hope this helps
