Hi folks
I know there is a way of changing the sending email address to what you want (i.e. an alias) but I want to publish my email address to have my own domain name after the @ instead of @btconnect.com.
So when someone emails me they are sending to ......@mydomainname.co.uk not ......@btconnect.com.
Does anyone know how to go about doing this or is this an option which BT do not provide with their web-hosting package?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Mick

Hi there,
Yes you can assign an alias as your sending address through the business portal. Go the http://myoffice.bt.com and log in with your primary account details.
Click manage services then manage mailboxes. Click on the mailbox in the list you want to change the select 'Manage 'from' email address'. You can select an alias this way.
Thanks

I have the same problem, and your solution does not fix it, unfortunately.
I have created a new user, using Create Mailbox, and have had to put her address in as <firstnamelastname>@btconnect.com. and would like to show her as <firstnamelastname>@domainname.co.uk - much as the questionner.
However, when I go to 'manage 'from' email address' the dialog box opens, shows me a box where I could enter an alias - but the box disappears immediately, and I am left with a statement that all mails will be sent from @btconnect.com
Could you review for me, please.
Thank you
Hi,
Have you created an alias for your domain, and then attached it to that user account?
If you have then you'll need to contact the Helpdesk.
Cheers.
