I appreciate this might not be the place to ask, but I'm finding it difficult to even find the correct dept/person to talk to, so figured this a good place to start!
Temple is an area just outside Carryduff, but is part of Lisburn not Belfast. You've most likely driven through it, but never knew you were here!
In Temple there is about 400 residences and about two dozen businesses, some like us are internet businesses. I can speak for the other businesses but when we relocated here two years ago we were told by our BT account manager that Infinity would be available in 3-6 months. Every 3-6 months it slips, we're now being told end of this year. Based on previous experience though I've no real confidence in that target being hit.
Our neaest "exchange" or box has been upgraded, it's situated in Boardmills, this happened some time ago, and we all got excited thinking this was it, but on the day of switch on we were told that Temple was too far and so wouldn't be getting Infinity afterall. I've never really got any sensible consistant answers about when since then.
First and foremost, is there anyone here who can offer any concrete dates for when Temple will get Infinity?
Next, is there any previously successful method for applying pressure on BT to speed up our transfer to Infinity? We have a group of businesses and residents in the area who are happy to work together in an attempt to force BT to act sooner rather than later, but some ideas on how to approach them would be welcome.
At present we max out at about half a meg connection speed. It drops out entirely two to three times a day, and often the entire phone system goes down when it rains as our local "box" is in fact a hole in the ground which leaks!
Hi. Just my opinion, no one could really tell an exact time for this exept maybe for the CEO. They would also consider finanacial factors here.
But I'm really not sure on where you can probably get a rough answer for this.
Count me in. Need better broadband for home and business at the Temple.

It is appaling at the Temple. I have a commercial photography studio and a home office in the area and the signal is **bleep**e... 11.00 Mpbs. I struggle to download an app in the studio! When will BT stop skipping us out... I know 20 or 30 families and about 10 businesses that would relish high speed broadband...
Cumon BT do something about it...

I could literally do nothing and now im trying my best to find a solution and this seems like the only one!! fix it pleease have to drive to Belfast for any hope of internet connection even on my phone

Hi stevebRC,
If you can send me your Business broadband account details through a Private Message, I can check fo you to see if the exchanges in your area are accepting orders for Business Infinty Broadband.

Hi MarkP, can't see how to send PM's, our phone number is <removed by MOD>, but I spoke with several people over the last few days and they all said there is no date for Temple yet. However please do look into it and see what you can discover for us.
As you can see above, on just this one thread there are already others who want Infinity in Temple. Bearing in mind 99% of people won't use forums like this, you can imagine how this equates to demand in the real world!
Hi stevebRC,
Looking at your phone number you come off the BAILLIES MILLS exchange, from what I can see this exchange is accepting orders for fibre broadband, but when I check to see what your line is capable of, it is not showing that you can get fiber.
This could be because part of the exchange has been eanble but not all or that the cabs in your area have not been enabled yet for fibre broadband.

Yep, that's pretty much what we know already. What next?
