!) replaced all interior telepnone cables
2)replaced phone with a new one
3) replaced my visa machine.
4) had a visit from an engineer, who replaced socket on the wall with an infinity capable one (his words )
Internet now stable.
phone line usable
visa machine dont work still too much noise on line .
seems to be a problem on that line .
spoke to a polite young lady with both online chat box , and via telephone call, she has booked another engineer, so must now wait . at least she has assured me I will not be charged £140 for visit as everything I can do is Brand new
Patience is a virtue , and when dealing with BT it seems to work at its own pace and that is slow ,, but hey , at least they haven't decided it is solved when it is not
